Law Firm Dorset

Coles Miller is one of Dorset's leading law firms with offices in Poole, Bournemouth, Charminster and Broadstone, and is one of the largest and most established in the region.

The firm has 13 Partners and around 110 staff. As well as providing a full legal service for the private client, the firm also has one of the largest dedicated commercial departments in the area and can count some of the region's major businesses amongst its client base.

The firm can chart its history back to the late 1920's when it's founding member Howard J Cole began working at Poole solicitors firm J W Miller & Sons as a Legal Clerk. Years later he officially launched H F J Cole in 1954, providing a full legal service for the people of Poole. The firm grew and by 1972 there were three partners; Howard, his brother Arthur and the Consultant at Coles Miller today Roger Senior. By this time, the firm had been re-named HFJ & AW Cole. As the years progressed and the firm flourished more and more solicitors were brought on board, amongst them Neil Meldrum and David Parfitt, who is Senior Partner with the firm. The year 1989 witnessed the merger with Poole based firm Millers and thus Coles Miller, as it is known today, was formed.

The firm has grown substantially over the last 25 years, most recently merging with Bournemouth based solicitors DTW, giving it a new central Bournemouth location. It has also responded positively to changes, both in the market place and in technology. We know we are only as good as the people we employ and as such we have invested in the very best legal advisors and support staff. We pride ourselves on providing a personal, efficient and cost-effective service for all our clients.

Coles Miller became a Limited Liability Partnership registered in England & Wales under number OC318707 on 1st May 2006. To download a factsheet answering any queries you may have on LLP, please click here.
