David Parfitt

David Parfitt

David is the Senior Partner at Coles Miller. He joined the firm in 1979, after training at a London firm, and has been a partner here since 1982. He is head of the Probate Department and deals with Wills, Probate, administration of estates, Powers of Attorney and trust work. He is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and of the firm's Management Committee. David is also responsible for the firm's financial services work. He is married with three children and has many sporting interests which include cricket, badminton and football.

Andrew Howard

Andrew Howard

Andrew had been a Partner with DTW Solicitors since 1999, before becoming a Partner at Coles Miller when the two firms merged on 2007. He is Head of the firm's Residential Landlord and Tenant Department which specializes in work relating to residential leasehold properties. He also deals with the Right to Manage, Right of First Refusal and leasehold property disputes. He is a member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP).
Andrew is married with two grown up children and enjoys walking in the Purbecks and following sport, particularly football.

Roger Leedham

Roger Leedham

Roger joined the firm in 1984, soon after his admission as a solicitor. He is a dedicated residential conveyancer, who prides himself on producing the best possible results for his clients. Roger is married with three children, a dedicated family man and a long suffering follower of Southampton FC. He is also acting solicitor to Poole District Scout Association.

Adrian Cormack

Adrian Cormack

Adrian qualified in 1990 and went on to work in a London firm specialising in Personal Injury. He joined Coles Miller in 1993 and is now head of the firm's Personal Injury Department, becoming a partner in 1997. Adrian is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel and a Senior Litigator with APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers). He is also on the Headway Personal Inury Panel (the brain injury charity) and is Chairman of the Trustees of Headway Dorset as well on the Board of Governers for AECC Bournemouth (The Anglo-European College of Chiropractic) Adrian is married with a baby daughter and in his spare time is a keen follower of sport, most importantly Rugby ..and the Welsh Grand Slam wins of 2005 and 2008...

Fiona Knight

Fiona Knight

Fiona qualified in September 1989 and joined Coles Miller in 1994. She is head of the firm's Conveyancing department. Fiona is the pioneer of the firm's conveyancing Case Management System (DPS) and is keen to develop the firm's on-line conveyancing facility. Fiona is a keen sportswoman and plays lacrosse for a local ladies team.

Neil Andrews

Neil Andrews

Neil qualified as a solicitor in October 1995, after completing his training contract here at Coles Miller. He was made a partner at the firm in 1999. Neil is a Commercial Litigator dealing with variety of commercial disputes in the County Court, High Court and Employment Tribunals. He specialises in employment work including representing employees and employers at Employment Tribunals. Neil is a committee member of Poole CAB, a member of the Dorset Junior Chamber and a Trustee at a local hospice. Neil is married with two young daughters.

Simon Steele-Williams

Simon joined Coles Miller in 1995 after training in London and working as a litigation solicitor for a firm in Weymouth. Simon was made a partner at Coles Miller in 2000 and is now Litigation Partner at our Bournemouth Office. His work includes commercial and contractual disputes, landlord and tenant issues and personal injury. Simon is married and his interests include golf, cricket football and travel. Simon is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers [APIL].

Carol Elliott

Carol moved to the area in 1983 after completing her training with a large commercial firm of solicitors in London. She joined Coles Miller in 1996, became a partner in 2003 and is now head of the commercial property team. Her regular clients include large companies, developers, banks, pension funds and a local charity. In her spare time Carol likes to play tennis. She is married with two children.

Emma Hamilton Cole

Emma qualified as a solicitor in 1996, after completing her training contract here at Coles Miller. She is now head of our Broadstone office and specialises in a wide range of family law matters. She was made a Partner in 2004 and is a member of Resolution, formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association. Emma is also trained in collaboarative practice which is a developing dispute resolution style for family matters. Emma is married and in her spare time enjoys gardening, music and travel.

Shauna Lines

Shauna Lines

Shauna is a law graduate from Cardiff University and specialises in Probate, Wills, Inheritance Tax Planning, Enduring Powers of Attorney and associated Court of Protection matters and Trusts.
She trained with a large West Country multi-branch firm and joined Derek T Wilkinson & Co in 1996 and became a partner in the firm in 2000. In her spare time Shauna enjoys a variety of activities including ski-ing, music and travel.

Ruth Kerley

Ruth Kerley

Ruth has been with the firm for 10 years after joining in September 1997. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2002 she has worked in the firm's ever-growing residential conveyancing department heading up the team at the Broadstone office. Ruth has provided considerable support and innovation in the firms conveyancing case management system and has also contributed to the development of the firm's response to the introduction of HIPS. Ruth is married with two children and has run the London Marathon twice.

Christopher Whittle

Chris was appointed as a Partner on 1 May 2008.

Chris first joined the Firm in 1997 and took up a training contract qualifying in February 2001.

Chris has since that time worked in the Firm’s Personal Injury Department and has steadily built up a substantial volume of work.

Chris has been a full member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers since 2003.

David Simpson was made a Partner on 1 May 2009. He heads the firms' expanding Clinical Negligence Department. After qualifying as a solicitor in November 1989 he worked at law firms in Northampton and Devizes specialising in personal injury. David is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He is married with three young children. In his spare time he is a very keen windsurfer and enjoys playing guitar and painting.
