Coles Miller Partner, Andrew Howard, has recently been appointed as a member of ALEP, the “Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners”.
Membership of this professional association is a badge of assurance to leaseholders and freeholders that dealing with a member of ALEP they can be confident that they will be experienced and competent in matters related to leasehold enfranchisement, in particular lease extensions and freehold acquisitions, and that they can be assured of a consistently high level of service, integrity and professionalism.
To qualify for membership of ALEP, professionals such as solicitors, surveyors and valuers, must prove they reach an agreed standard of competence and they are also recommended by other professionals in their field.
Andrew Howard, and his team at Coles Miller in Bournemouth, are one of only a handful of teams on the South Coast who specialise in this particular area of leasehold enfranchisement and Andrew is recognized as one of the leading solicitors in this area.
The right to the compulsory purchase of the freehold or extension of the lease on a leasehold property was given to owners following the passing of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993. Since that time, Andrew and his team have acted for thousands of leaseholders locally.
