Coles Miller is pleased to announce the appointment of David Parfitt as its new Senior Partner with effect from 1 April 2009.

David will be taking over from Roger Senior who has been the Senior Partner since 1984, and is due to retire. Roger will still act for the firm in a consultant role.

David is head of the firm’s Wills & Probate Department and has been with the firm since joining in 1979 to what was then known as HFJ & AW Cole. He became a partner in 1982.

David deals with wills, probate, administration of estates, Powers of Attorney and trust work. He is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

Commenting on his new role, David says, “This is certainly a challenging time to take on the title which Roger has held for many years.”


Coles Miller is already recognised as one of the leading firms in the Bournemouth and Poole area and acts for a wide range of clients, both private individuals and local businesses.

Despite the current economic climate, the firm is keen to expand, particularly following it’s acquisition of the new central Bournemouth office in 2007.

David says his plans are… “At present to consolidate what we have built up in recent years and to move forward from our solid base, to continue making progress in a difficult market place.”
He is married with three children and has many sporting interests which include golf and football.
