Having qualified as a solicitor, Nicola worked in private practice where she undertook all aspects of family law before joining the Local Authority as a Childcare Solicitor advising and representing Children’s Services in Child Protection, Special Guardianship and Adoption Proceedings.  She became a member of the Children Panel in 2002, was promoted to Senior Childcare Solicitor in 2012 and has lectured at public law care training events attended by social workers and other professionals.  

Since joining Coles Miller, Nicola has represented children and parents in proceedings relating to children and is respected by other lawyers for tenaciously representing her clients to achieve good outcomes.  Nicola is a keen supporter of local charities was formerly a Trustee of a charity providing services to adults and children who have experienced domestic abuse.
