Dorset law firm Coles Miller is urging residents and companies across the Bournemouth area to donate emergency food to help local families in need.
Three of Coles Miller’s offices (Poole, Bournemouth and Broadstone) are again being used as collection points to help local foodbanks.
All the food collected will be handed out using a voucher system. Doctors, social workers and Citizens Advice will help identify those who most need help.
The campaign is being organised by Bournemouth & District Junior Lawyers Division. Local law firms are taking it in turns to help each month.
Coles Miller will be collecting throughout April. Last May the firm collected 68kg of food.
Coles Miller solicitor Darren Francis said: “This is such an important local appeal – it makes a real difference to those in the most need.”
He is urging people to donate items including cereals, tinned soups, pasta, jars of pasta sauce, rice, beans, tinned meat, tinned vegetables, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits.
