Eric began his career working in the County Court and then moved on to work for a major finance company where he gained experience with recovering debts and dealing with repossession work. He then moved on to work for a leading law firm in Southampton, managing two firms' Debt Recovery departments for a total of 15 years. Eric joined Coles Miller in May 2005 and was followed by a number of clients, including one of the world’s largest toy and gift retailers. Since then his department has consistently brought new clients to our firm, mainly through recommendations or sometimes from businesses that have been ‘chased for payment’ and have been so impressed by his professional but dogged approach. Coles Miller Debt Recovery is committed to providing clients with a personal yet cost effective process of recovering (and avoiding) debts as expeditiously as possible.
Outside work, Eric plays hockey (where he has played England Roses at under 21 level and has also represented the South of England in the over 50’s category), he is also a qualified hockey umpire and hockey coach. Besides hockey Eric enjoys fishing (sea, fly, and coarse), kayaking, gardening and cooking (when he has time).
