Commercial Law, Contested Wills, Disputes & Litigation
Howard qualified as a Solicitor in 1990. He has spent over twenty years as a Commercial and Civil Litigator working at firms in Hampshire and Dorset, before he joined Coles Miller in 2017.
The specialist types of work in which Howard is regularly instructed in the civil Courts and Tribunals include:-
Contentious Trusts, Wills and Probate disputes
All aspects of property and land disputes, and Landlord & Tenant, both residential and commercial. This includes boundary and possession claims, as well as contested lease renewals and dilapidations, and building disputes
Company and business disputes (including shareholder and partnership), insolvency (for office holders and individuals) and complex debt and asset recovery
A Member of the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) since 2009.
Howard actively encourages parties to consider the commercial implications of any dispute. Therefore, many disputes where he is instructed are settled by ADR and mediation, not trial.
