Personal Injury Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive - PQE: 2-5 Years

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (2-5 years PQE) to join our busy and successful Personal Injury team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented fee earner to manage a varied caseload of claimant personal injury matters while developing their career within a supportive and forward-thinking legal practice.

Salary: DOE

The Role

You will be responsible for handling a mixed caseload of claimant personal injury files, including:

    • Road traffic accident claims
    • Employer's liability claims
    • Public liability claims
    • Serious injury matters
    • Fast-track and multi-track cases
    • Litigated and non-litigated claims
    • Clinical Negligence cases

You will manage cases from inception through to settlement or trial, providing excellent client care and maintaining strong relationships with clients, medical experts, counsel, and other stakeholders.

While the role is primarily focused on Personal Injury matters, there will be opportunities to assist with and manage Clinical Negligence cases.

Key Responsibilities

    • Managing your own caseload of personal injury claims
    • Advising clients on prospects, strategy, and settlement options
    • Drafting legal documents, witness statements, and court pleadings
    • Negotiating settlements with insurers and defendant representatives
    • Meeting billing and performance targets
    • Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Supporting business development and networking activities where appropriate
    • Mentoring and supervising apprentices and trainees.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

    • Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
    • Have between 2 and 5 years' PQE in claimant personal injury work
    • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of personal injury litigation and the Civil Procedure Rules
    • Have experience managing your own caseload independently
    • Possess excellent communication and client care skills
    • Be commercially aware and results driven
    • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
    • Experience dealing with Clinical Negligence cases would be advantageous
