Conveyancing solicitors at Coles Miller in Poole, Dorset are celebrating after the town was named one of the best places to live in Britain.
Poole scooped second place in the top 10, beating cities including Brighton, Edinburgh, York, Cardiff, Liverpool and Bristol.
Poole was pipped only by St Ives, Cornwall in property website Rightmove’s survey of 3,000 people.
Coles Miller conveyancing Partner Jason Barnett said: “I personally would put Bournemouth and Poole top of the list but second place is still a great result.
“It’s bound to bring more people to Poole. We already receive a large number of enquiries from people moving here - mainly from London and Essex.
“A lot of them buy second homes and end up spending a lot of time here, dividing their time equally between Poole and the City.
“Some people are buying multiple properties for a few hundred thousand pounds each as buy to let investments,” he added.
With the lure of the beaches at Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs - and London only a few hours away by train - Poole was becoming popular with business people happy to commute, he added.
Coles Miller’s residential property team has been experiencing a significant growth in business following the recovery in the property market.
The law firm - which has four offices in Poole, Bournemouth, Broadstone and Wimborne - has 14 Partners and around 120 staff.
