A FORTNIGHT after launching a new planning department in Bournemouth, Coles Miller Solicitors have announced an expansion of their workforce.
To help with an increase in business throughout the firm, trainees Katrina Eldridge and Ricky Langlois have been recruited by the Poole based business.
“It’s really tough out there for young job seekers at the moment, so we are delighted to be in a position where we can recruit talented trainees like these,” says Lee Taylor, marketing manager at Coles Miller.
“This is a great opportunity to join a firm that is growing and expanding,” adds Ricky Langlois.
Coles Miller also welcomes paralegal, Michelle Vick, who joins from another firm. “I was being held back before, but Coles Miller has given me the opportunity I need to move forward,” says Michelle.
As well as celebrating the arrival of these new recruits, the law firm will also be popping corks in honour of some of their existing employees; Agnieszka Bania and Niki Luther have just qualified as Chartered Legal Executives, while Sophie Russell has qualified as a Solicitor.
“I joined the firm after leaving University four years ago, so to finally qualify as a Solicitor is great,” says Sophie. “It has been a long time coming, so I’m very happy to have qualified,” adds Agnieszka, who came from Poland to study law at Bournemouth University.
Niki Luther is also delighted to see her hard work pay off, having been with Coles Miller since she finished college.
“When I passed my A-levels I wrote to local law firms to see if they had any opportunities and Coles Miller were the only ones to write back,” says Niki, who was then offered a job. “That was seven years ago, so to finally qualify is the culmination of a lot of hard work.”
The announcement of these new recruits comes two weeks after Coles Miller unveiled a new planning department in their Bournemouth offices.
“Coles Miller is now one of the biggest law firms in Dorset and they have a good reputation,” says new starter, Katrina. “So to be given this opportunity is great.”
