Coles Miller Solicitors Partner Neil Andrews has become a director and trustee of Dorset safety charity SafeWise.
SafeWise operates the LV=Streetwise interactive safety centre in Elliott Road, Bournemouth and the Weymouth Community Safety Centre.
Neil Andrews is the head of the Commercial department at Coles Miller. He specialises in commercial litigation and employment law. He has been a Partner at the firm since 1999.
Mr Andrews said: “I am delighted to be a director and trustee of SafeWise. It is great local charity that does so much valuable work in the community.”
He added: “It’s a natural fit for us to work with SafeWise as their aims to promote safety and to educate our children on healthy and safe living mirror Coles Miller’s aims to keep our children safe with our recent cycle helmet and visibility campaigns.”
SafeWise Chief Executive Alison Shelton said: “Neil’s legal skills and experience will add massive value to our board.
“His support is already proving invaluable given the inherent challenges of operating two very different but complementary safety centres, with a third on the horizon in Wiltshire,” she added.
LV=Streetwise is one of two venues used for training by the Coles Miller Soccer Safety School. The other is AFC Bournemouth’s Goldsands Stadium.
More than 1,500 5-11-year-old Dorset schoolchildren are receiving vital safety training at LV=Streetwise before then travelling to AFC Bournemouth for soccer training specially designed to reinforce the safety messages.
The fitness aspect of the campaign also helps to promote healthy living and reduce childhood obesity.
