Career Highlights

Lindsey was shortlisted for Jordans Family Lawyer of the Year for her work on the case of Mabon v Mabon where the Court of Appeal considered independent representation of ‘competent’ children. In granting the appeal they gave permission to 3 children to ‘drop’ their Guardian. This case emphasised the need for the Judiciary to perceive the case from the perspective of the child and gave children a voice other than through their Guardian.

Lindsey has also dealt with a number of Human Rights cases and a case that involved applying for a Judicial Review and obtaining injunctive relief against the Home Office, to prevent the separation of a baby and Mother who was serving a prison sentence at the time. Also a high profile case that involved intervening on behalf of a family client in proceedings brought by the Crown in respect of Money Laundering.
