Kind-hearted conveyancers at Coles Miller have rescued a baby seagull after it plunged from their roof.
Partner Jason Barnett, graduate legal executive Kerrie Ashford and the team were alerted to the poor chick’s plight after it began pecking at their ground floor window.
They tried to reunite the chick with some other seagulls that were on the roof of Coles Miller’s office in Durley Chine Road, Bournemouth.
Kerrie said: “I took him some water in a large Tupperware box but he just sat in it!
“Jason picked him up. We tried to put the chick back on the roof but we couldn’t get him high enough so I phoned the vet,” she added.
After taking expert advice over the phone, they popped the chick in a cardboard box to keep him safe. Kerrie drove him to the vet.
Veterinary staff pronounced the chick fit, well and none the worse for his big fall. He is due to be rehomed with an animal rescue expert.
Kerrie and her colleagues have now nicknamed the chick ‘Jason’ in honour of Mr Barnett’s sterling efforts!
