Coles Miller has made two of its leading solicitors Partners and promoted two more to Associate level for their success in driving growth at the Dorset law firm.

The new Partners are commercial property solicitor Kerry Houston-Kypta and clinical negligence solicitor Lydia Barnett.

Kerry joined Coles Miller as an Associate in January 2014, specialising in commercial freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, leases, options and conditional contracts.

Lydia joined Coles Miller in 2004, qualifying as a solicitor with the firm in March 2009. Her medical negligence work includes head injuries; substandard hysterectomies; bowel injuries; substandard bladder prolapse surgeries and delayed diagnosis cases.

The new Associates are Matthew Lewis and Amy Cousineau - both of whom also trained at Coles Miller.

Bournemouth-based Matthew specialises in all matters relating to residential leasehold property. He is a member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) and a trustee of Poole Citizens Advice Bureau.

Poole-based employment law specialist Amy qualified at Coles Miller in September 2013 and has rapidly built up a large caseload. She blogs regularly on employment matters and is also a speaker at the annual Coles Miller Social Media Seminar.

Coles Miller Senior Partner Andrew Howard said: “Congratulations to all our new Partners and Associates - they have all worked extremely hard and their success is richly deserved.

“It is important to note that three of the four trained at Coles Miller. Their rapid progress is a clear indication of the quality of the training and the opportunities available here,” he added.
