Coles Miller Solicitors has expanded its team of commercial property lawyers to meet growing demand from across the country.

The Commercial Property team is led by Partner Kerry Houston-Kypta: “We are very busy – we are seeing quite a few clients from London,” she said.

“They are seeking London-level legal expertise in commercial property at more competitive provincial rates.”

Kerry has been joined at the Poole office by chartered legal executives Laura Dickeson and Amy Wilson and trainee solicitor Daniela Coelho.

They help clients with matters including:

  • sale and acquisition of office, industrial and retail premises
  • hotel, leisure and licensed premises
  • franchises
  • investment property, SIPPs, portfolio sales
  • landlord and tenant
  • development, plot sales
  • conditional contracts, options, joint ventures
  • sale and leaseback arrangements
  • property finance.

Kerry has more than 15 years of post-qualification experience in commercial property law, dealing with developers, banks, private companies and individuals. Her specialisms include:

  • freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • assignments of leases, grants of new leases
  • site acquisitions and plot sales.

Laura worked at the London office of a very large international law firm. She joined Coles Miller after three years in Vancouver with a commercial law firm. She worked with landlords, tenants and developers.

Amy worked with a large commercial firm in Southampton before joining Coles Miller this year. She specialises in sales, purchases, lease assignments and grants, finance, site acquisitions and plot sales.

Daniela completed her law degree at the University of Winchester and her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Bristol.
